Press Release on the Presentation of Credentials by HE Mr. Bashu Dev Mishra to the President of Sri Lanka

H.E. Mr. Bashu Dev Mishra presented to His Excellency Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Sri Lanka the Letter of Credence accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka amid a special function organized at Presidential Office on 17 August 2022.

During the occasion, Ambassador Mishra conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Right Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of Sri Lanka and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Sri Lanka.

While receiving the Letters of Credence, H.E. the President welcomed Mr. Mishra as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. H.E the President also extended best wishes for the personal health and happiness of the President of Nepal as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of people of Nepal.

Ambassador Mishra expressed happiness over the state of bilateral relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka and conveyed his commitment on furthering the existing relations to a new height during his tenure.

Present on the occasion were Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. M.U.M. Ali Sabry, Mr. E M S B Ekanayake, Secretary to the President and other high ranking officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
